Bird Surveys & the Survey Panel

The survey panel was formed to advise the Dorset Bird Club on how best it can support and promote surveys undertaken by both national and county bird, wildlife and conservation organisations.

The panel currently consists of representatives from the BTO, RSPB, English Nature, Dorset County Council, Dorset Environmental Records Centre and Dorset Wildlife Trust.  It is our intention to invite other organisations to join the panel.

It is hoped that the panel can facilitate an exchange of information and ideas between these organisations to ensure that the survey resources available within the county are used as effectively as possible.

When appropriate the Dorset Bird Club may organise its own bird surveys.
