The Dorset List is the official list of wild birds recorded in Dorset and is managed by the Dorset Records Panel on behalf of the Dorset Bird Club. It is based on The British List maintained by the British Ornithologists' Union (BOU). The taxonomy follows the latest International Ornithological Congress (IOC) World Bird List.

The total of species recorded in Dorset currently stands at 429 species as of May 2020. This includes the recent split of Subalpine Warbler, of which Eastern cantillans and Western iberiae have both been proven to occur in the county.

The full list can be downloaded here The Dorset List (v310520) (pdf) and is annotated with the type of records to be submitted for inclusion in the annual Dorset Bird Report.
